Sushant Shree Rajbhandari (Ryan) is a Multidisciplinary artist based out of Kathmandu with a BFA from Sirjana College of Fine Arts. He has worked on murals, experiential and interactive installation. He performs throat singing, plays the spoon, and other percussive instruments and is the Art Director of the experimental ethno-instrumental band called 'Stotram'. Throughout his college years, he volunteered in a variety of art projects. In 2018, he participated in a cross-disciplinary international art residency called 'Expression Expedition,' which was organized by the interdisciplinary art group 'Luna Poets.' This experience exposed him to other forms of art in his practice, such as performance art, sound art, and installation art. He participated in a group exhibition at Roots Bar in 2019. He also traveled to Hong Kong to meet with an artist friend, and his interactions with the artists there shaped his worldview even more. In 2021, he participated in a young artist residency at the 'Bikalpa Art Center,' which resulted in a duo exhibition titled "Solace of Mind: Fractal Utopia." In 2022, he participated in Danfe Art’s peer learning exchange program, which resulted in a public event called “On Taking Flight.” In 2022, he participated in a 6 month long mentorship program organized by Bikalpa Art Center called ‘Trans Culture Camp’, which resulted in a group exhibition in April, 2023. He participated in an International Art Camp organized by Crack International, Bangladesh in 2022. In 2023, he participated in a group exhibition and live painting session organized by Windhorse gallery, called ‘Contemporary Creators.’ He was the recipient of the Special Award in Performance Arts awarded by National Academy of Fine Arts in 2023.

Rajbhandari's method incorporates REM sleep visualization experiments. His subconsciousness and spirituality are depicted in his pen and ink drawings, which are inspired by automatism and distortion techniques. His work contains recurring themes of masculine and feminine energies, mindfulness, neo-shamanism, neo-tribalism, animism, oneness, and fractals. His older works, on the other hand, portrayed darker aspects of his personality, such as melancholy, fear, grief, discomfort, anger, lust, and doom, as a result of anxiety, inferiority complex, and depression. For him, pursuing art has been a healing and expressive journey. Currently, he is fascinated in working and experimenting with installations and art performance.
